4 DAYS AND 4 NIGHTS
*Sigh*...im back...after spending 4 days w/MaryJane you really dont care for anything else...especially work, but what can ya do. Her and her Mommy are back together today and they are enjoying themselves. Jess said they did school outside this morning and that MaryJane was being very good. So before i rant about our time together i must remind you to check Jess's Blog for details and cute pics from there trip to Oklahoma (and Missourri...hehe). So Thrusday Jess, M.J., Christian, and I mett up at in Rogers for the ABEKA presentation. We grabbed a bunch of free stuff and looked thru some of the books. Looks real good, but there are just so many options. Jess just called me w/ another cirriculum and i justed looked at it and it is good too. over the next week or two i really wanna dive in and do some research on each and comparisons and work w/ Jess towards making a dceision on what we wanna do. Ahh...the freedom of choosing what our child learns....i love it! MaryJane and i spent the rest of the day at the house...although honeslty most of the day was spent ousdie the house in the beautiful weather. WE played and she played w/ Samantha and other kids. Friday morning felt like Saturday morning...i really thought it was thurr for a sec. It was nice and we had a blast playing make beleive everything under the sun. : ) Went past work to pick up my check and then it was off to girl scouts. she said she had fun. she made a bird feeder out of a pine cone, peanut butter, and some other stuff i think. she didnt want to bring it home so she left it in the grass by the school...for the birds of course. Then it was off to the much atticipated "Fun City" in Springdale. Kinda like Chuck E. Cheese, but better. We had a ball. She made a few trips thru the play area that has slides, balls, tubes, and otherstuff, but we spent most of the time racking up tickets. her fav games were alien race cars..we race these aliens on bicycles against each other and she always wins ; )..., basketball, and the spider stomper game. we managed to get 327 tickets (plus some i forgot i had in my pocket, so must be close to 400. : ) She got her prizes as you can see and was very happy with the outting. ok...so Saturday we took a trip on the Razorback Transit. WE had gone on it 1 year ago bacause she had always wanted to ride on a bus. i thought it would be fun to make it an annual thing and at the mention of doing it again she got excited....so we went. We took the "Red" bus to the mall where we had lunch and she got a new webkinz. the pics are of her in the party area of the "build-a-bear-" rip off store. she wanted me to take all of these. cute...and funny. : ) i dont have a pic of her w/ her new webkinz, but im sure i will get one. its a horse...i mean pony. hehe. she thanked me probably 10 times and would say "i can't thank you enough". precious! Made a trip past the library where we picked up a few books and a bunch of "how to draw" books, andthe "elf" movie. We drew and wathced our movie at home. twas deliteful. Sunday was Church. Was very nice as always. MaryJane told me they made a bablie verse out of food and ate it. hilarious. later that day we played outside in the mud. we got so filthy and had so much fun. we wanted to stay out there for a long time, but w/ the chill it had to be short. We managed to get clean and spent the rest of the day goofin off in the house. i loved every second off the time we spent together! Yes...did watch basketball too and i can hardly beleive the final 4 is all #1's. Im picked Memphis from day one and still think they are the best of the bunch. can hardly wait to see what happens. well, im ready to get outta here so gonna add my picks and jet.

Jess and I are meeting tomorrow morning to scope out an Abeka event. Abeka is one of many homechool curriculum's we are thinking of using for second grade. Other then that no set planz, but lots of ideas. Ill fill u all in Monday on what MaryJane and I get ourselves into. Gotta watch the Sweet 16 and Elite 8 too. Go underdogs! No more Hogs of course, but heres to our Seniors, our fiery new coach, and to another, even better next season. Went out w/ some peoples from my community group last night to grub and bowl. no i want to bowl more. hehe. scored like a 167 on tha 2n, and final, game. not to shabby for no having played in forever. MaryJane and Mommy are on a trip today to the Oklahoma Aquarium today in Jenks w/ a homeschool group. I cant wait to see her and hear about how much fun she had. that place definitely rocks. check it out at http://www.okaquarium.org/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=72&Itemid. Later.

Easter....and Stuff.
Another weekend come and gone and another Happy Easter. MaryJane and i went out Saturday to get her some dress shoes to go with her Fabulous Easter Dress. We played a game where you couldnt step on cracks, yellow, black, blue, etc. Should have seen us. I have to admit i had a hard time with these huge feet of mine. haha. She also declared that she was going to be a lady. She walked around with her umbrella like a cane and with her eyes (almost) closed. reminded me more of a blind gurl. hehe. people smiled (and got out of the way). haha. it was cute and funny. We saw an Easter Bunny at Wal-Mart. She informed me that it was a person in a suit. She told me that "some are people in costumes and some are real. You just never know".....but apparently she does know. She also knew one thing for sure and that was that "the real Easter bunny is coming tonight". When we got home she played outside for...oh...almost 3 hours straight....she had a blast w/ Samantha and other kids. She would have stayed out for another 3 hours had i let her. hehe She colored eggs later and we worked together to put Littlest Pet Shop Tattoos on them. As you can see they turned out very nice. We watched part of Bee Movie that night and we loved it. She saw it with Mommy at the theater before. It is a great movie; highly recommend it. The Jerry Seinfeld humor is great. Easter morning i woke up at 6:30 and got up to put a shirt on and to turn the heat up in preparation for her finding what the Easter Bunny had left, but just as i was about to grab my shirt i heard a voice say "get up". I thought, did she just say something, is she talking in her sleep,....then she started talking again, rolled out of bed and made a made her way into the living room where she found that the carrots she left the night before had been eatin and that a lovely basket full of goddies had been left for her by the Easter Bunny. We enjoyed some chocolate and gum and played w/ my little ponies and dolls and watched Easter toonz on TV. Also finished up Bee Movie. Still great! After the morning lounge act we shipped of to attend church at eh Methodist Church in Lincoln w/ some of the family. It was nice to go back there after so long away. The service was nice and the sermon was very good. i really liked the preacher. he was very passionate (other may have called it loud) about the message. MaryJane was told me twice, "he dosent have to yell". hehe. She was angel and very well behaved. We luv'ed on each other, whispered to each others ears, and sang the hymns. We jetted over to Grandpa and Nana's for grub after Church. Had Tasty grub, that included Deep Fried Cajun Turkey : d ,visited and MaryJane got a Big Green Bunny that the Easter Bunny left for her there. Thanks Easter Bunny ; ) MaryJane hunted eggs and hid them for me before we left. Then it was off to meet Mommy. She got to go to a Candy Hunt and got to see what she got from the Easter Bunny there. For more on this swing on over to Jess's blog.

March Rocks!
Thought id drop a (short) line. Havin fun with MaryJane. Had Community Group Tuesday night. Rowed the boat out and had a great time. Doing Tourney Challenge @ ESPN.com w/ some of the guys/gurls. What fun. So far im on top, but i have some under dogs i need to come thru today....*fingers crossed*. Have mixed feeling...want my picks to win, but want every underdog to win too. Its hard. hehe. Yes...March Madness has consumed me. 4 days, 48 games, about 48 hours of live CBS coverage...and thats just rounds 1 and 2. I Love It. Go Hogs...Beat the Hoosiers tonight. Wed was Extreme Makeover : Car Edition.....2 hours later it was loookin mighty nice. Now its on to Home Edition....unfortunaltly its going to take more then 2 hours. lol Got my Easter Bunny Shopping done too. Target Rocks. Going to color eggs tomorrow. : ) MaryJane and Mommy stayed the night at GuaGua's (Jess's Mom's) Wed night...they had fun...colored eggs and hunted yesterday. Mommy hid...MaryJane hunted...then the other way around. apparently she hid 2 too good and they couldn't be found. she said guagua told her she was going to find them and eat them later. hahaha. Welll...that all for now. be back Monday w/ newz of the Glorious Easter

Happy St. Patricks Day
Yup...im back and i bring newz (and pics) of the fabulous weekend. i know the weather wasnt the best, but it didnt put a damper on thing...although i would have been nice to get outside more. Saturday was MaryJanes 3rd Play. Ive spoke of it before. It was titled "The Hair Who Would Not Be Queen". the original story is "king", but since the Rabbit was a girl they changed it. Cute i thought. Here are some pics of my little giraffe doin her thang on stage. she remembered all her lines and did wonderful in her performance. i thought of taking video w/ my camera, but since jess shot it w/ the real video recorder, i took pics. precious. We spent the remainder of the day at the house out of the weather. had a blast. just to mention some things that stand out in my mind from that day are following. we did this tickling game where we tickled each others armpits or feet at the same time and whoever laughed first was the loser. shoulda seen it...we were both making funny faces and funny noises trying not to burst. also played a game where she asked me questions and gave me three choices for the answer. if i got it right she gave me a sticker on a sheet of paper. we played again Sunday where if i got it wrong she got a sticker. the questions and answers were just to funny. Also build that money a "tent house" Saturday evening. had been talking about it for a while and finally did it. havent done one of these since we lived in Farmington. wasnt sure i still remembered how to do it good, but it turned out great and has not collapsed so yea. she loves it. Sunday was church. we had a different kind of service. no sermon. it was ok. had a quior instead of the norm band like setup. it was singing mixed w/ reading from the bible, and communion (bread and juice separately). MaryJane had a wonderful time at Sunday School. They usually meet in a big room and then break off into small groups, but they all stayed in the big room Sunday. Not sure why, but she said she had fun. There lesson was of course about the crucifixion. Watched a video, got a coloring book and a pretty blue cross necklace which she tapped against the sidewalk to confirm it was a "real jewel". She is excited about next Sunday because of the Resurrection...and yes the Easter bunny jive too. After church it was off to have lunch at Grandma and Grandpas. Cody and Robi were there too. Had one of my favs...pot roast. it was delicious i must say. MaryJane picked some flowers, did a puzzle, and pulled out all the old toys from the closet. it was a very nice visit. After that it was off to Dad's to see him and Nana and to deliver the last of the girl scout cookies. Ashley's little girl Brenna was there. Her and MaryJane mingled a liltte bit. Another nice visit. We got outside for a bit before we left. Warmer, but man it was windy. We then headed home to close out the night. We continued a little thing we have going before she went to sleep. we have been telling stories w/ choices. you give 3 choices for the story and then give 3 choices for different things throughout the story. you wouldnt believe some of the things we make up. its great and i always look forward to telling, and hearing, them.
Been watching lots of Basketball, but like thats new. Props to the Hogs for there Wins over Vandy and the Vol's. WE just need to take care of Sampsomless Indiana and prep for the beatable Tar heels. they only won there last two tourney games by 1 and 5 points. Filling out my bracket(s) tonight. some of the guys and i are doing a pool at community group. my idea and they love it. go me. hehe.
MaryJane was excited all weekend for St. Patrick's Day today. Ive never seen anyone get so hyped about this holiday. her and her mommy have been celebrating all day w/ recipes and cooking, st Patrick's day themed school, a trip to the lake and a blarney stone, a video, and some awesome necklaces. Make sure and check out Jess's Blog for the skinny on all the fun. MayJane and i even gathered a bunch of green stuffed animals this morning she took w/ her. how cool.
Guess thats about it for now. ill be back later this week w/ more. Oh...one other thing. i gave Sis my old camera and she is loving it. she took a whole role of film in a matter of a couple hours on Sunday. Im very interested to see how they turn out. everything from me, to toys, to out the window while driving, to flowers, to dolls, the the cat. pretty much anything and everything. hehe.

Ketchup
Didn't get my post up yesterday. work was fast and furious and errands at lunch. today tho...no bosses, plus its break so here i am w/ newz of the last 4 days. Gotta start out w/ mention of the cow. yup...tha chick-fil-a cow. MaryJane and i went to the one in Rogers Friday after we dropped of her girl scout cookie money (64 boxes sold : ). they have an indoor play place. she was up in a little area with a window when the cow came. i didn't see her at first, but then i saw her peaking out. she was shaking her head like no way im coming out w/ that thing around. when the cow disappeared i went in a got her. we bolted out trying to avoid the cow. a little drama in there. then...of all things..there the cow was...outside waving at cars. we acted as tho he was after us and speed of to safety. it was hilarious. so beware of the cow if your ever there. haha. Saturday was chillin w/ M.J. and the last basketball regular season game. We are so getting an invitation to the dance. if we don't ill boycott the NCAA. Sunday went to pick up my gurl after church and we spent a majority of our afternoon outside soaking up some of the nice weather. we played out on and round the play place. played hide your stuffed animal (Kelly and Lionel of course) and the other person had to find it, tag MaryJane when she's not touching something green (to much green out there, she even used patches of grass...hehe), tic tac toe on the sidewalk, and more. went to the park by the library and she mingled with the 1000 other children that were there. then it was off to the volley ball sand to play and build sand castles. had a blast all day. yesterday i got a call from my mother on the way home. she was at my house. some bogusness going on at home ,guess she couldn't take it, so she came over for about an hour.. it was nice to see her. She rambled on about how crummy things have been and are (nothing new) and told all about her trip to California (ask me about it if ya want). MaryJane played outside w/ Samantha part of the time, but before and after that she had a good time playing animal lotto w/ me and grandma and was very sweet to her, giving her a sticker, tattoo, and eraser...gave her a big hug before she left, and even made her a snow flake. wish mom was around more cause MaryJane enjoys seeing her....and Brandon too, but i have given up on her ever getting out of the cage she continues to put herself in. No Tree house for MaryJane today or next Tuesday cause of Spring Break. She is having a great time w/ her mommy and the Charlottes Web unit study.

Mermaids Here, Mermiads There, Mermaids Everywhere
MaryJane and i got to go to our delayed "royal dinner" last night. How wonderful it was. It is this semi-new locally owned resturant where pizza inn in fayettevlle once was. It was semi fancy. Anywho, we dressed real nice. MaryJane even wore Arial, from the Disney flick, lip stick. I told her we were going to be proper when we went. She was, when she wasnt dancing, posing, and running around. She refered to us as "being royalty" and showed me all about how "royalty people" do. How they hold there cups, how they sit, and so much more. I was supposed to attend royalty school when we got home, but i ended up learning a magic trick instead; the other class was cancelled. hehe. The food was excellent and the service was mighty fine too. The atmosphere was dim lighting, soft jazz music and mermiads, lots of mermaids. wall, pictures, and even a fountain. i left maybe the biggest tip of my life...4.50. kidding, but kinda serious. haha. if you want to check out there tasty menu or get directions check out there site at http://www.mermaids.ws/ She refused to let me take her picture when we first got theree and a little later out of the blue she tell me i can take her picture now. she was practically begging me to take a million pictures of her. too silly is this monkey of mine. anyways, i complied and got some good shots as you can see.

Hey. Its what we call "close week" here at work....which means busy, busy. One former employee would always say "smile, its happy week". i want a pin that says that. haha. Sooo...real quick....weekend was beautiful. MaryJane hung out w/ mommy Friday night and Saturday. got to go to girl scouts, theater class, and sold cookies at a booth in Rogers. i went to the rockin concert. it was so great i cant even begin to tell you the wonders i saw there. Foo Freakin Tastic is what it was. watched the commodores crash landing Saturday. whoo pig sooie. MaryJane and i chilled Sunday after church. she played outside for 2 hours or so w/ Samantha. ill try and get a cute pic or 12 of the monkey this week and put up a longer post. until then....peace.
