Happy St. Patricks Day

Yup...im back and i bring newz (and pics) of the fabulous weekend. i know the weather wasnt the best, but it didnt put a damper on thing...although i would have been nice to get outside more. Saturday was MaryJanes 3rd Play. Ive spoke of it before. It was titled "The Hair Who Would Not Be Queen". the original story is "king", but since the Rabbit was a girl they changed it. Cute i thought. Here are some pics of my little giraffe doin her thang on stage. she remembered all her lines and did wonderful in her performance. i thought of taking video w/ my camera, but since jess shot it w/ the real video recorder, i took pics. precious. We spent the remainder of the day at the house out of the weather. had a blast. just to mention some things that stand out in my mind from that day are following. we did this tickling game where we tickled each others armpits or feet at the same time and whoever laughed first was the loser. shoulda seen it...we were both making funny faces and funny noises trying not to burst. also played a game where she asked me questions and gave me three choices for the answer. if i got it right she gave me a sticker on a sheet of paper. we played again Sunday where if i got it wrong she got a sticker. the questions and answers were just to funny. Also build that money a "tent house" Saturday evening. had been talking about it for a while and finally did it. havent done one of these since we lived in Farmington. wasnt sure i still remembered how to do it good, but it turned out great and has not collapsed so yea. she loves it. Sunday was church. we had a different kind of service. no sermon. it was ok. had a quior instead of the norm band like setup. it was singing mixed w/ reading from the bible, and communion (bread and juice separately). MaryJane had a wonderful time at Sunday School. They usually meet in a big room and then break off into small groups, but they all stayed in the big room Sunday. Not sure why, but she said she had fun. There lesson was of course about the crucifixion. Watched a video, got a coloring book and a pretty blue cross necklace which she tapped against the sidewalk to confirm it was a "real jewel". She is excited about next Sunday because of the Resurrection...and yes the Easter bunny jive too. After church it was off to have lunch at Grandma and Grandpas. Cody and Robi were there too. Had one of my favs...pot roast. it was delicious i must say. MaryJane picked some flowers, did a puzzle, and pulled out all the old toys from the closet. it was a very nice visit. After that it was off to Dad's to see him and Nana and to deliver the last of the girl scout cookies. Ashley's little girl Brenna was there. Her and MaryJane mingled a liltte bit. Another nice visit. We got outside for a bit before we left. Warmer, but man it was windy. We then headed home to close out the night. We continued a little thing we have going before she went to sleep. we have been telling stories w/ choices. you give 3 choices for the story and then give 3 choices for different things throughout the story. you wouldnt believe some of the things we make up. its great and i always look forward to telling, and hearing, them.

Been watching lots of Basketball, but like thats new. Props to the Hogs for there Wins over Vandy and the Vol's. WE just need to take care of Sampsomless Indiana and prep for the beatable Tar heels. they only won there last two tourney games by 1 and 5 points. Filling out my bracket(s) tonight. some of the guys and i are doing a pool at community group. my idea and they love it. go me. hehe.

MaryJane was excited all weekend for St. Patrick's Day today. Ive never seen anyone get so hyped about this holiday. her and her mommy have been celebrating all day w/ recipes and cooking, st Patrick's day themed school, a trip to the lake and a blarney stone, a video, and some awesome necklaces. Make sure and check out Jess's Blog for the skinny on all the fun. MayJane and i even gathered a bunch of green stuffed animals this morning she took w/ her. how cool.

Guess thats about it for now. ill be back later this week w/ more. Oh...one other thing. i gave Sis my old camera and she is loving it. she took a whole role of film in a matter of a couple hours on Sunday. Im very interested to see how they turn out. everything from me, to toys, to out the window while driving, to flowers, to dolls, the the cat. pretty much anything and everything. hehe.
Later.

Ketchup

Didn't get my post up yesterday. work was fast and furious and errands at lunch. today tho...no bosses, plus its break so here i am w/ newz of the last 4 days. Gotta start out w/ mention of the cow. yup...tha chick-fil-a cow. MaryJane and i went to the one in Rogers Friday after we dropped of her girl scout cookie money (64 boxes sold : ). they have an indoor play place. she was up in a little area with a window when the cow came. i didn't see her at first, but then i saw her peaking out. she was shaking her head like no way im coming out w/ that thing around. when the cow disappeared i went in a got her. we bolted out trying to avoid the cow. a little drama in there. then...of all things..there the cow was...outside waving at cars. we acted as tho he was after us and speed of to safety. it was hilarious. so beware of the cow if your ever there. haha. Saturday was chillin w/ M.J. and the last basketball regular season game. We are so getting an invitation to the dance. if we don't ill boycott the NCAA. Sunday went to pick up my gurl after church and we spent a majority of our afternoon outside soaking up some of the nice weather. we played out on and round the play place. played hide your stuffed animal (Kelly and Lionel of course) and the other person had to find it, tag MaryJane when she's not touching something green (to much green out there, she even used patches of grass...hehe), tic tac toe on the sidewalk, and more. went to the park by the library and she mingled with the 1000 other children that were there. then it was off to the volley ball sand to play and build sand castles. had a blast all day. yesterday i got a call from my mother on the way home. she was at my house. some bogusness going on at home ,guess she couldn't take it, so she came over for about an hour.. it was nice to see her. She rambled on about how crummy things have been and are (nothing new) and told all about her trip to California (ask me about it if ya want). MaryJane played outside w/ Samantha part of the time, but before and after that she had a good time playing animal lotto w/ me and grandma and was very sweet to her, giving her a sticker, tattoo, and eraser...gave her a big hug before she left, and even made her a snow flake. wish mom was around more cause MaryJane enjoys seeing her....and Brandon too, but i have given up on her ever getting out of the cage she continues to put herself in. No Tree house for MaryJane today or next Tuesday cause of Spring Break. She is having a great time w/ her mommy and the Charlottes Web unit study.

Mermaids Here, Mermiads There, Mermaids Everywhere

MaryJane and i got to go to our delayed "royal dinner" last night. How wonderful it was. It is this semi-new locally owned resturant where pizza inn in fayettevlle once was. It was semi fancy. Anywho, we dressed real nice. MaryJane even wore Arial, from the Disney flick, lip stick. I told her we were going to be proper when we went. She was, when she wasnt dancing, posing, and running around. She refered to us as "being royalty" and showed me all about how "royalty people" do. How they hold there cups, how they sit, and so much more. I was supposed to attend royalty school when we got home, but i ended up learning a magic trick instead; the other class was cancelled. hehe. The food was excellent and the service was mighty fine too. The atmosphere was dim lighting, soft jazz music and mermiads, lots of mermaids. wall, pictures, and even a fountain. i left maybe the biggest tip of my life...4.50. kidding, but kinda serious. haha. if you want to check out there tasty menu or get directions check out there site at http://www.mermaids.ws/ She refused to let me take her picture when we first got theree and a little later out of the blue she tell me i can take her picture now. she was practically begging me to take a million pictures of her. too silly is this monkey of mine. anyways, i complied and got some good shots as you can see.

Sooo...real quick....weekend was beautiful. MaryJane hung out w/ mommy Friday night and Saturday. got to go to girl scouts, theater class, and sold cookies at a booth in Rogers. i went to the rockin concert. it was so great i cant even begin to tell you the wonders i saw there. Foo Freakin Tastic is what it was. watched the commodores crash landing Saturday. whoo pig sooie. MaryJane and i chilled Sunday after church. she played outside for 2 hours or so w/ Samantha. ill try and get a cute pic or 12 of the monkey this week and put up a longer post. until then....peace.

TGIF.......Thank Goodness Its "Foo"day

Yes..today is the long awaited concert. Yea! So excited. Before i rant anymore about that gotta speak about my wonderful daughter and or doings. Shes all better from her strep throat. double yea! We have done school together the last 2 nights and its so great. She just started a school theme of Charlotte's Web. Its not just a week, or a month, but according to mommy a 22 week thang. it is really cool and goes way, way beyond just the book. very broad..hitting on all kinds of subjects, the bible, and cool crafts. we did math, some worksheets, she read some of a hilarious doc suess riddle book she cant get enough of, and we made a pig Tuesday night out of paper plates and it turned out real nice. Homeschooling is such a blessing and it so rocks. MaryJane loves it and her excitement about doing it really shows that. Shes such a smart girl. Heres a pic of angel gurl modeling her new outfit from target. Cute!ok...so the concert. 7:30 cant come soon enough. 2 pud bands are playing before the Foo Fighters...hope they are short sets. : ) Then the greatness begins. Got there new CD a few days ago and it rocks. just super stoked and so ready. well, back to tha grind (and to listening to Foo Cd's) : ) Be back Monday with a Friday afternoon/night and weekend recap. Later

Strep at Home Weekend

Yes....MaryJane caught Strep throat. Not to worry tho. Mommy got her to the doctor on Friday. Jess also got her a get better package with medicine, sprite, and a super cool Barbie sticker book and crayons. : ) i picked up her script after work along with some ice cream and a few other items. Meet Jess at my place shorly after. M.J. and i spent the remainder of friday and the weekend at the house. Other then a 5 minute trip to pick up Chinese at the place by our house we didnt go anywhere. i am so thankful she got to the doc friday and so thankful she did not felt bad. if you handt known she had strep you wouldnt have guessed it. she was her regular monky self. even so, mommy and i agreed that staying home was best so we put our girl scout cookie mission and other outings on hold. We really had a great time. from barbies to orphens taking care of there house, from sorry! to making our own play, from pound puppies (on tv) to Garfield (her and me), we did it all and loved every second of it.

So Happy Its Thurday

What a day. I am just not motivated. its cold and im overly tired today. need to get some afternoon coffee i guess. : ) Just thought id take a few minutes to jaw about the week so far. its been really good. MaryJane had pajama day at Tree house Tuesday. what a treat i thought. nothing like wearing your jammies to school. so i thought that was cute. Jess said she told her she made another flat stanley she is going to mail to grandma Gina in Hawaii and that she got to use chemicals in science detectives. she motioned for me how they used there arms to wave the smells to there noses. hehe. her biggest thrill i think was her last class of the day. She went on and on about it. she showed me how she learned how to draw a moon and half moon, she told me a great story about the wind, sun, and a person w/ a coat. ask her about it for more details. hehe. and she said she learned about a place thats cold. not sure what she is talking about. she said it was a country then she said it was a state. anywho, apparently there is a movie at the movie store about this mystery place so im anxious to find out where it is. ??? She studied presidents day at library class following tree house. its cool because she is doing presidents day all week for school so it fit in quite nicely. she is studying Abraham Lincoln today. neat. we finally got to go to community group after that. missed out the last few times cause of me being sick and the krazy weather. she had a great time playing with her friends and i had a good time at study. ate some sketti, awesome salad, and tasty ice cream cake from dairy queen. it wasnt as good as the Barbie one sis had, but really good. Butterfinger i think. : d We are doing a study of the book of Titus. We all read the letter Paul wrote to Titus and answered some questions before going to group. we then took turns reading loud and discussed. i learned alot and am anxious, not only for next week, but to go back and re-read and study the first lesson. very interesting. wuz supposed to go to the awesome game last night, but w/ Diana having to do some lat night work and not having got to spend much time w/ M.J. Monday and Tuesday, i stayed home w/ the monkey and we had a blast. messed around with littlest pet shop, played mouse trap, and started our, what i believe will be, lengthy game of Care Bear Holidays. i have made a list of all the holidays backwards and made paper trophies, gold, silver, and brown. we started last night w/ Christmas and her, me, and 3 care bears cut out snow flakes and the top 3 were awarded trophies. pretty fun. should be our mane thang for tonight. got one of my tvs up and running on Dish and will have the other going next week. very pleased...even though i really havent got to check it out to much. still running wires and setting everything up. M.J. and i have been working on a DVD. Garfield- a tale of 2 kitties. it has bill Murphy as the voice of Garfield and is hilarious. im Garfield and M.J. is Odie. haha. MaryJane went this morning to pick up her 64 boxes of girl scout cookies. jess and her made bags for each person and she loaded them up. apparently she had a blast and is so excited to make her rounds. what an awesome little girl scout she is. gonna have to get her a cute shirt if her mommy dosent beat me 2 it. looking forward to seeing the episode of LOST i missed last week and the new episode tonight. im going to DVR it and watch it twice, just cause i can. hehe. looking forward to the weekend. i think M.J. and i are going to go to a junt named Mermaids in tha ville. semi fancy little place. we have to go there cause she loves mermaids'. i told her we would dress up and act proper cause it would be a royal dinner. hehe. what fun it will be. shoo....k enough outta me. ill be back Monday w/ lots to say and i promise ill get some new pictures to post. later.
