Yup...im back and i bring newz (and pics) of the fabulous weekend. i know the weather wasnt the best, but it didnt put a damper on thing...although i would have been nice to get outside more. Saturday was MaryJanes 3rd Play. Ive spoke of it before. It was titled "The Hair Who Would Not Be Queen". the original story is "king", but since the Rabbit was a girl they changed it. Cute i thought. Here are some pics of my little giraffe doin her thang on stage. she remembered all her lines and did wonderful in her performance. i thought of taking video w/ my camera, but since jess shot it w/ the real video recorder, i took pics. precious. We spent the remainder of the day at the house out of the weather. had a blast. just to mention some things that stand out in my mind from that day are following. we did this tickling game where we tickled each others armpits or feet at the same time and whoever laughed first was the loser. shoulda seen it...we were both making funny faces and funny noises trying not to burst. also played a game where she asked me questions and gave me three choices for the answer. if i got it right she gave me a sticker on a sheet of paper. we played again Sunday where if i got it wrong she got a sticker. the questions and answers were just to funny. Also build that money a "tent house" Saturday evening. had been talking about it for a while and finally did it. havent done one of these since we lived in Farmington. wasnt sure i still remembered how to do it good, but it turned out great and has not collapsed so yea. she loves it. Sunday was church. we had a different kind of service. no sermon. it was ok. had a quior instead of the norm band like setup. it was singing mixed w/ reading from the bible, and communion (bread and juice separately). MaryJane had a wonderful time at Sunday School. They usually meet in a big room and then break off into small groups, but they all stayed in the big room Sunday. Not sure why, but she said she had fun. There lesson was of course about the crucifixion. Watched a video, got a coloring book and a pretty blue cross necklace which she tapped against the sidewalk to confirm it was a "real jewel". She is excited about next Sunday because of the Resurrection...and yes the Easter bunny jive too. After church it was off to have lunch at Grandma and Grandpas. Cody and Robi were there too. Had one of my favs...pot roast. it was delicious i must say. MaryJane picked some flowers, did a puzzle, and pulled out all the old toys from the closet. it was a very nice visit. After that it was off to Dad's to see him and Nana and to deliver the last of the girl scout cookies. Ashley's little girl Brenna was there. Her and MaryJane mingled a liltte bit. Another nice visit. We got outside for a bit before we left. Warmer, but man it was windy. We then headed home to close out the night. We continued a little thing we have going before she went to sleep. we have been telling stories w/ choices. you give 3 choices for the story and then give 3 choices for different things throughout the story. you wouldnt believe some of the things we make up. its great and i always look forward to telling, and hearing, them.
Been watching lots of Basketball, but like thats new. Props to the Hogs for there Wins over Vandy and the Vol's. WE just need to take care of Sampsomless Indiana and prep for the beatable Tar heels. they only won there last two tourney games by 1 and 5 points. Filling out my bracket(s) tonight. some of the guys and i are doing a pool at community group. my idea and they love it. go me. hehe.
MaryJane was excited all weekend for St. Patrick's Day today. Ive never seen anyone get so hyped about this holiday. her and her mommy have been celebrating all day w/ recipes and cooking, st Patrick's day themed school, a trip to the lake and a blarney stone, a video, and some awesome necklaces. Make sure and check out Jess's Blog for the skinny on all the fun. MayJane and i even gathered a bunch of green stuffed animals this morning she took w/ her. how cool.
Guess thats about it for now. ill be back later this week w/ more. Oh...one other thing. i gave Sis my old camera and she is loving it. she took a whole role of film in a matter of a couple hours on Sunday. Im very interested to see how they turn out. everything from me, to toys, to out the window while driving, to flowers, to dolls, the the cat. pretty much anything and everything. hehe.
Later.
