So Much To Say...

Well here it is Thursday and im just now getting a chance to put up a new post. We moved into a new office space yesterday and boy was it fun. We just moved bout 6 months ago or sumdin. Anyways, it is a better setup and altho not as private, more comfy. ill get a pic over the weekend to show. lots been happenin this week. M.J. stared Library classes again so that is cool. she goes once a week on thursdays. they have storytime, play games, and do crafts. they are doing a Ben Franklin theme for the spring semester. i just love the first of the year...with all the holidays behind us her activities begin starting back up. just yesterday i confirmed w/ Jess her schedule for Treehouse. This is the homeschool school she attends once a week. she went last semester half days, but this semester, because we all love it so much she is going to attend full days. thats 6 classes on tuesdays starting the 22nd of January. its going to rock. here is what she is lined up for.

Book Club

Young readers will enjoy the opportunity to share their thoughts about books they read alone and together in class. Activities and discussion will help children begin to identify literary elements such as character, plot, setting, theme and so forth. Children need not be strong readers to enjoy participating in class discussion and activities. Reading aloud in class will be done by the instructor.

Grammar Made Fun Again

Students will go on another adventure in grammar. This time the emphasis will be on learning about verbs and adverbs. This will be fun and ignite students in games and writing activities that will make them want to learn more about grammar.

Math Activities Kids Can't Resist

Math fact flowers, duckling number comparisons and more. Irresistible games and activities that provide hands-on practice of essential math skills, such as addition, subtraction, skip -
counting, place value, and measurement.

Cool Crafts/Food Fun!

Every week will be an adventure in creativity! We will use all sorts of materials to craft our way through from the winter blues to sunny spring. Our food fun will be "cooking" that is all done outside the kitchen. We will hear stories and do nature focused food "crafts" on that theme. The best part is we will have something great to snack on! Crafts will also follow the transitions in nature. Both in Food Fun and crafts we will even experience a bit of science!

Science Detectives I

Detectives on television and in books use all kinds of fancy-sounding methods for solving crimes. But they're really not that complicated- we can do many of the same things at Treehouse. We'll learn about how detectives use science to solve crimes, using hands-on activities to practice our own skills (solving make-believe crimes). We will learn how to tell which suspect left those fingerprints, whose shirt that fiber came from, and which mysterious substance got left at the scene of the crime.

Beginning Music, Movement, and Drama

In this fun class we will learn to move our bodies as we explore our creative nature through music, movement, and drama. Students will take part in a variety of activities that encourage them to work together as a group, and yet explore their own personal creativity. This class will prepare a class presentation to share at the end of year Gala.

Her and her mommy are studying Snow Dogs this week. We do themed units each week. They just got a husky the other day so this seemed like the perfect time for this theme. M.J. is having fun with it and is working on a lapbook that i should have a pic or 2 of next week.

oh how i could go on and on about how wonderful our child is and about how smart she is, but you all already know. : )

i have more to talk about, but i will have to save it for another time. i will leave with a sweet pic of my gurl i took this morning. aint she just precious.
